A team of independent producers and a multicultural group of artists have joined forces with Kori Rushton and IRT's Residency Season to bring to life a new play: Useless by Romanian-born playwright Saviana Stanescu. The production is directed by José Zayas and features Ana Grosse, Andy Phelan and Steven Rishard.

Useless is a dark humored drama about love, dreams and human trafficking. It has been developed in New York over the past three years, with workshops and readings at Lark Play Development Center, Ensemble Studio Theatre, and Queens Theatre. Tickets to all performances are $18 and can be purchased by visiting http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/733825.

On Monday, August 18, the show will be followed by a talk-back with the playwright and the creative team moderated by Martin Denton, founder/editor at Indie Theater Now.
