The Rum House Presents SOMETHING

"The Quiet Beatle" inspires some noise the Rum House when The Newest Old Cocktail Lounge in Times Square presents a night of tributes to the music of George Harrison. Led by grammy-nominated songwriter JC Hopkins.

In addition to his band, Hopkins is joined by a cavalcade of guest singers, including Dana Athens, Kiki Valentine, Jack Grace, Jolie Holl, Benner Field, Mamie Minch, Tony Leone, Fiona McBain, and Rebecca Hart. With a lineup like this, SOMETHING promises to be a long, long, long evening of fantastic entertainment.

Before the long cold lonely winter arrives, come hear the piano gently weep at SOMETHING: a night of tributes to the music of George Harrison, starting at 9:30pm on December 19. There is no cover, but arrive early as seating is limited. It is the fifth event in the The Bespoke Music Series, which focuses on the work of a different musician or genre each month. Previous editions have featured Tom Waits, David Bowie, Elvis Costello, and Jimi Hendrix.

ABOUT THE MUSICAL DIRECTOR
JC Hopkins is a Grammy nominated songwriter and producer. His big band, The JC Hopkins Biggish Band, worked with the likes of Norah Jones, Madeleine Peyroux, Elvis Costello, Justin Bond and Martha Wainwright. A working habitué of jazz dives, burlesque clubs and seedy piano bars, Hopkins honed his songwriting and musical chops in these colorful surroundings, gaining inspiration for the original material that comprises the majority of his band's swinging repertoire. He has previously led Bespoke tributes to Elvis Costello and Tom Waits at The Rum House.
