Directed by Michelle Bossy (Every Good Girl Deserves Fun, Sex of the Baby), LADY MACBETH AND HER LOVER will begin a limited engagement in The Directors Studio at The Directors Company (311 West 43rd Street, Suite 409) on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 (through Sunday, November 19th). A play about destiny and the power of passion and art, LADY MACBETH AND HER LOVER follows the intertwined lives of three women in their search for fame and love. Soul mates for life and beyond, lovers Hope and Corinne -- both poets -- make a suicide pact. One lives . . . and the other goes on to win the Pulitzer Prize, posthumously. Years later, the dead woman's daughter knocks on the survivor's door, demanding that she be her literary mentor. Inspired by the lives of Sylvia Plath, Anne Sexton and Elizabeth Bishop, LADY MACBETH AND HER LOVER is a psychological thriller that challenges and feeds the soul.

The Directors Studio at The Directors Company is designed to support the work of exceptional emerging directors and their projects in an "up close and personal" space. The 35-seat Studio also provides an invaluable arena for these directors to showcase their work to the public through various series, workshops and labs. Past productions in The Directors Studio include The Best of Everything, adapted and directed by Julie Kramer, based on the Rona Jaffe novel, and True Art by Jessica Provenz.

LADY MACBETH AND HER LOVER will be performed in The Directors Studio at The Directors Company (311 West 43rd Street, Suite 409). The limited engagement runs Wednesday, November 1st through Sunday, November 19th. The Opening is Thursday, November 2nd at 8PM. The performance schedule is Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7PM, Fridays and Saturdays at 8PM, and Sundays at 3PM.
