The Bushwick Starr and 31 Down Present HERE AT HOME

By:

The Bushwick Starr and performance group 31 Down are proud to present a new piece, HERE AT HOME. 31 Down's trademark hallucinatory audio visual landscapes fuel playwright Eric Bland's contemplative, poetic characters in the company's sixth full-length performance work. HERE AT HOME offers a surreal interpretation of how wars abroad affect everyday lives in the homeland. The work stars D.J. Mendel (Ontological-Hysteric Theater, Hal Hartley), Hollis Witherspoon (Old Kent Road Theater), Ryan Holsopple and Eric Bland as four hometown friends who are entrenched from afar in a modern-day war.

HERE AT HOME is conceived by 31 Down; directed by Shannon Sindelar; sound and video design by Ryan Holsopple; text by Eric Bland; set design by Andreea Mincic; lights by Jon Luton.

Location:
The Bushwick Starr theater: 207 Starr Street, Brooklyn, NY [between Irving and Wycoff]

Directions:
Via Subway take the L Train to Jefferson Street, exit at Starr Street, walk against traffic on Starr, and the theater is 3/4 of a block on the right.
