The Brick and Have Vaude, Ville Travel Present THE WOWSHOW
THE BRICK THEATER, INC. IN ASSOICATION WITH Have Vaude, Ville Travel PRESENT The WowShow AS PART OF THE NEW YORK CLOWN THEATRE FESTIVAL SEPTEMBER 3-26 @ THE BRICK Sat. 9/11 & Sun. 9/12 @ 3PM
EnzoClown is an exuberant innocent who relies upon his own (admittedly limited) wits and the help of the audience to complete his list of tasks. He enters the theater, explores his surroundings, and makes a mess of things as he tells the story of a Prince, a Witch, and a Princess who loves broccoli. Fun, entertaining, and nutritious for the whole family.
The WowShow will run Saturday 9/11 and Sunday 9/12 at 3pm as part of the New York Clown Theatre Festival at The Brick (575 Metropolitan Avenue between Union Avenue and Lorimer Street, Brooklyn). Tickets ($10 for Weekend Matinee Family Shows) may be purchased online at www.bricktheater.com or by calling 1-866-811-4111.
Vincenzo Tortorici (EnzoClown) brings over 20 years experience as a performer and educator to this delightful family-oriented performance. The Wow Show is a New York premier, and was originally commissioned by the Aurora Theater (Atlanta) for their Learning Library outreach series. Based in Atlanta, EnzoClown was recently seen at the National Cultural Laboratory (NaCl)'s Festival of New Theater, and Busker's Festival in upstate New York. He was involved as a puppeteer and as head writer for GPTV's Emmy award-winning Spanish-language educational show, Salsa, and portrayed the lead character in the acclaimed independent sock-puppet film noir, The Lady from Sockholm. Seriously. His current endeavors include serving as Supervisor with the Big Apple Circus Clown Caresm program at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, where he leads a team of performers in Clown Rounds, bringing the magic of classical circus to clinics and the bedsides of acutely and chronically ill children year round. Vincenzo is an Artistic Associate with Georgia Shakespeare, and serves as a guest instructor at Kennesaw State University, Emory University, the North Carolina School of the Arts, and The Atlanta International School; he is also an international consultant for schools in the International Baccalaureate theater curriculum, through ISTA. He is an international master teacher of hospital clown technique and protocol; and he has performed his solo show, Il Teatro Machiavelli, from New Mexico to Old England. In 2006, ITM was the only American production invited to the International Puppet Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria.
