On February 1st, Adam Boncz, Halle Morse, and Elyse Sholk will present a one night only staged reading of TO DANCE, a new musical about acclaimed Russian Jewish ballet dancer, Valery Panov. Set in Cold War Russia, TO DANCE recounts the real life story of one man who refused to let the KGB take away his freedom of expression­­Valery Panov was born to dance!

Directed by Broadway's Jeff Whiting (Associate Director: Bullets Over Broadway ­ 6 Tony Nominations, The Scottsboro Boys ­ 12 Tony Nominations, Big Fish) TO DANCE is written by Tibor Zonai and Kyra Robinov. TO DANCE played to sold out audiences at FringeNYC 2015 where it won the FringeFAVE Award. Now back with a new cast and creative team, the evening is presented as part of the TRU Voices Musical Reading Series. Carnegie Mellon classmates, Zachary Berger and Nic Cory, reunite for the first time since college to star as Kirov Ballet rivals Valery and Yuri. The cast also features Natalie Bird, Danielle Bowen, Kimberly Chatterjee, Alison England, Andre Gulick, Jesse Hawkes, Alex Kidder, Frank J. Paul, Matthew Quirk, Rick Roemer. Music Direction by Balint Varga. Ralph Stan Lee stage manages.

This Monday night industry event will include a post­show "Dollars and Sense" panel with Broadway Producers Patricia Klausner (Pippin, The Scottsboro Boys), David Elliott (Dames at Sea, Vanya & Sonia & Masha & Spike), RK Greene (Peter & the Starcatcher, A Time to Kill), and Indie Film Producer and Director Frank M. Calo. The one night only reading of TO DANCE will be held Monday, February 1, 2016 at 7PM at the Engelman Recital Hall at Baruch Performing Arts Center.
