SOLOCOM Will Return to The Peoples Improv Theater

By:

The Peoples Improv Theater and award-winning solo show artist and producer Peter Michael Marino proudly announce the return of SOLOCOM following last year's record-breaking weekend which debuted 85 world premieres. This year's 3-day festival features 120 brand new solo comedies by artists from across the country, Canada, England, and Newfoundland - from traditional solo show artists to sketch, storytelling, stand up, physical comedy, music, multi-media, improv, cabaret, and clowning.

SOLOCOM was created in 2013 to provide artists a platform to generate and launch brand new comic material. Dozens of shows that made their debut at SOLOCOM have gone on to tour the world and play at various festivals including Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Hollywood Fringe, NC Comedy Arts Festival, Orlando Fringe and more.

WHEN: Performances during the weekend of November 20-22
WHERE: The People's Improv Theater (The PIT) 123 E 24 St, NYC and The PIT LOFT, 154 W 29th St, NYC

Shows this year include new work from David Carl whose "Gary Busey's One-Man Hamlet" began at SOLOCOM and received 5-star reviews at the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe, a solo spectacular from PIT legends Big Black Car and The Baldwins, several immersive shows in the intimate PIT Attic, and a new show about PIT founder Ali Farahnakian's (SNL) recent experience at Burning Man, titled "Burning Dad."
