SEPTIMUS AND CLARISSA, a new play based on Virginia Woolf's novel 'Mrs. Dalloway,' will be produced at New York's 13th Street Theater on June 25 and 26.  This workshop production will be co-produced by the Red Bull Theater and Ripe Time

The play, set during the aftermath of World War I, deals with Clarissa Dalloway, a socialite who reflects on her own past, and Septimus Warren Smith, a deeply shell-shocked veteran.  The play is written by Ellen McLaughlin, who will also star; the cast will also include Jacqueline Antaramian, Craig Baldwin, Laura Butler, LeeAnne Hutchison, Paula McGonagle, Guy Paul, Michael Rudko, Tommy Schrider, and Miriam Silverman.  The play will be directed by Rachel Dickstein and features a score by Gina Leishman and designs by Christopher Akerlind, Oana Botez-Ban, Susan Zeeman Rogers, and Jane Shaw.
