Pipeline Theatre Company has announced their 2015-2016 season, including the upcoming main stage production of The Gray Man by Andrew Farmer at Walker Space in SoHo, followed by the Big Mystery Show, and PlayLab Class of 2016. Hot off the heels of last season's Clown Bar, which was a New York Times Critics' Pick, and was the recipient of four New York Innovative Theatre Award Nominations (including one for Outstanding Featured Actor for Andrew Farmer), Pipeline is preparing for their most exciting season to date!

SEASON OVERVIEW

September 25 - October 18, 2015

WALKER SPACE

The Gray Man isn't real. He's a ghost story, a boogeyman, a tale mothers make up to keep their children safe. Set in 1910 in a New York City tenement, The Gray Man is a new play with an original score that tells the story of a grieving young man named Simon, who listens to bedtime stories outside his apartment window and yearns to leave the city he's so afraid of. But when he meets a little girl with an old soul who speaks of missing children, Simon can't help but feel trapped in his tenement house, where a familiar shadow waits in the darkness.

The Gray Man is being produced by Natalie Gershtein, with original score by Mike Brun and Chris Ryan, lighting design byChristopher Bowser, costumes by Daniel Dabdoub, scenic design by Andy Yanni, production managed by Joshua Shainand stage managed by Kristy Bodall. Direction by Andrew Neisler and written by Andrew Farmer.

THE BIG MYSTERY SHOW

May 2016

In May 2016, Pipeline will present the first ever Big Mystery Show, a one-night only, spectacular, one-of-a-kind, cross-disciplinary event featuring the work of a mystery artist. This program will provide a dedicated space for devised theater artists in the Pipeline season and will result in an utterly unique audience experience.

Pipeline has launched a program that celebrates artists with big ideas, who are interested in using space in innovative ways, and who are looking to create a complete audience experience. The Big Mystery Show will particularly focus on artists who combine artistic disciplines, and who are from diverse artistic, educational, and cultural backgrounds.

The artist will be selected by summer's end, but will be kept a secret. The artist will be announced one week before the Big Mystery Show, when the surprise experience will be revealed. More information available here: http://pipelinetheatre.org/be-our-first-ever-mystery-artist/

PLAYLAB 2016

Through a year-long series of monthly meetings, the PlayLab serves as a workshop for playwrights to build new plays with constructive feedback from fellow writers, directors, and the artistic staff of Pipeline. Each PlayLab playwright will write a one-act play, to be fully produced and presented to the public in the Matchstick Series in January 2016, and a full-length play, to be presented to the public through the Bonfire Reading Series in July 2016. Applications for the PlayLab class of 2015 are currently being reviewed. This year's eight playwright participants will be announced in August.
