Photo Flash: Playhouse Creatures Page2Stage New Play Festival

The Playhouse Creatures Theatre company closed out their 2011 season with a festival of original work featuring nine new short plays by nine different playwrights.

The bare bones festival (minnimaly Staged) ran one week November 16 - 20, 2011 in two alternating parts, Series 1 and Series 2.. with a double matinee on Sunday November 20th featuring both parts.

The Event was a great success and was a wonderful collaboration between artists.

The selected playwrights represented various parts of the country, further adding to the spectrum of style and content. The two one act plays included "Un-Hinged: A Silent Opera" by Krista Knight (NY) and "True Blue" by K. Alexa Mavromatis (Rhode Island). The ten minute selections include "The Law of Passionate Attraction or The Sex Life of the Stars" by Andrew Karp (NY), "Oly the Doorman" by Matthew Hanf (CA), "The Sum of Your Experiences" by Trace Crawford (Ohio), "Long, Long Distance" by Francis Alix (MA), "Legacy" by Chris Shaw Swanson (Ohio), "Organized, Literate, Musical, Fire-resistant, Passionate" by Paul Cohen (NY), and "Spanish Women" by Britain Valenti (Louisiana).

The Ensemble of actors featured veteran performers:

The Directors involved included: Jeff Mousseau, Jonna McElrath, Kenny Wade Marshall, Patricia Duran and Eric Doss .
