Slinky Man and the two Giant Hands-three of the wacky, weird and wonderful characters from beloved theater company MUMMENSCHANZ-ran around the heart of Times Square's outdoor pedestrian promenade to perform mini-routines and interact with families and passersby at lunchtime today, December 19th. Check out photos of their appearance below!
MUMMENSCHANZ, Switzerland's most famous theater group, is celebrating its 40th anniversary with audiences all over the world. Mummenschanz "40 Years" is currently touring the U.S. through March 2013, and is running in NYC for a special limited 4-week holiday engagement at NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts through January 6, 2013.
In this imaginative, family-friendly show, the ordinary becomes extraordinary as common materials and everyday objects spring to life in a dazzling array of fantastical creatures and colorful characters. The full 2-hour program features about 30 sketches, including fan favorites and rarely performed sequences. For information and tickets, visit www.mummenschanznyc.com. Photo Credit: Chris Roslan
