P.O.V., a new play by Sharon E. Cooper, Cheryl L. Davis, ML Kinney and Bethany Larsen.  Directed by Riv Massey, P.O.V. plays the Michael Weller Theatre (311 West 43rd St. Suite 602).   The three week limited run officially opened on Saturday, October 20, 2007.

Inspired by Kurosawa's 1950 movie, Rashomon, P.O.V. explores the murder of Desdemona in Shakespeare's Othello, from four different perspectives. Watch as Othello, Desdemona, Emilia, and Iago each try to convince Shakespeare to see things their way.

The Milk Can Theatre Company cultivates fresh ideas and gives them time to grow. Currently celebrating its fifth season, this collaboration of playwrights and directors has produced eight world premiere main stage plays and more than a dozen staged readings.  For more information on the company, please visit www.milkcantheatre.org

P.O.V. features original music composed and performed by Elise Morris, set design by Ann Bartek, lighting design by Christopher Edwards, and costume design by Brittany Jones.  Julie Fei-Fan Balzer serves as dramaturge.

P.O.V. runs through November 4 at the Michael Weller Theatre in repertory with By Oscar Micheaux.
