Madagascar Live! Performs at Central Park Zoo 4/13

In celebration of "MADAGASCAR LIVE!" the brand new DreamWorks theatrical production, opening at Radio City Music Hall this month, the show has made a donation to The Wildlife Conservation Society to create a new educational program at the Central Park Zoo.

"Trekking the Tropics," a brand new school program will be offered this year to local schools in Manhattan, targeting 3rd and 4th graders, to teach students the key learning's about the rainforest, meet the Zoo's education ambassador and explore the zoo's very own rainforest. "Trekking the Topics" was made possible by a monetary donation of five thousand dollars from "MADAGASCAR LIVE!"

On April 13, 2011 at 10AM at the Central Park Zoo, the cast of "MADAGASCAR LIVE!" will make an official appearance and perform the show's hit song, "I Like To Move It, Move It." to kick off the program and commemorate the show's New York engagement at Radio City Music Hall. A representative from the Wildlife Conservation Society will be on-hand to discuss the new program and students from the local schools who will be benefitting from this program, will also be in attendance. This event will be open to the general public.

"MADAGASCAR LIVE!" is set to take the stage at Radio City Music Hall beginning April 15 through April 24. Join Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the hip hip Hippo and of course, those hilarious, plotting penguins as they escape from their home at New York's Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien's Madagascar. This celebration of friendship is brought vividly to life by imaginative sets and costumes, action-packed adventure and spectacular new songs that will inspire you to MOVE IT MOVE IT in the aisles. Get ready to GO WILD at MADAGASCAR LIVE!

The Wildlife Conservation Society's Central Park Zoo - Open every day of the year. General Admission is $12 for adults, $9 for senior citizens, $7 for children 3 to 12, and free for children younger than 3. Total Experience Admission is $18.00 for adults, $15.00 for senior citizens, and $13.00 for children 3 to 12. 4-D theater admission is $4.00 for members and $7.00 for non-members. Zoo hours are 10am to 5:30 pm, April through October, and 10am - 4:30pm daily, November through April. Tickets are sold until one half-hour before closing.
