Industry Power Play Presents Industry Reading of 'Bad People' 8/4

By:

On August 4, 2008, Industry Power Play will present it's first in a monthly series of developmental readings with BAD PEOPLE by Samuel Aarons.

BAD PEOPLE asks, in an ever degrading society, what sort of behavior is considered bad? Money, girls and a mysterious bowling bag puts Andrew and Bryan's friendship to the ultimate test. The reading, which will directed by Gregory Cicchino will feature Caley Chase, Bryan Fenkart, Troy Lavallee and Erika Robel. There will be a short Q&A with the writer, director and actors after the reading.

Other plays by Samuel Aarons include JOE & THE KATARA, EVERYGUY and MOTHER/DAUGHTER.

Caley Chase was last featured on stage reading the part of Angela in Vincent Gogliormella's SIX GOUMBAS AND A WANNABE. She has studied acting and directing under Joan Horvath and has written and directed 1 feature and 5 shorts, including her latest project, ARTISTIC ANATOMY.

Bryan Fenkart recently starred in the indie films RED HOOK and YOU TELL ME. He was also seen in EST's Marathon Series the last two years, and starred in the FringeNYC hit, THE UNUSUAL SUSPECTS. His singer/songwriter debut Imperfect Man is available on iTunes and www.myspace.com/bryanfenkart.

Troy Lavallee is the winner of the 2005 New York IT Award for Outstanding Actor in a Lead Role, Troy. A founding member of the internationally acclaimed theater company, East River Commedia, he was most recently seen playing Bruno in THE MAGNIFICENT CUCKOLD at The Connelly Theater. You can visit him on the web at www.troylavallee.com.

Erika Robel has most recently been seen as Titania in SHAKESPEARE UNDER THE MOON at the American Theatre of Actors. Other New York theatre credits include Sue-Ann in MATTERS OF THE HEART at ATA and Clare Ganz in Neil Simon's RUMORS at the 13th Street Repertory Theatre. This fall she will be featured in HOW TO TEXT YOUR WAY INTO YOUR CHILD'S LIFE at
www.Howcast.com.

Gregory Cicchino's previous credits include THE UNUSUAL SUSPECTS (NY Fringe '07), CRAZY GARY'S MOBILE DISCO. With Beyond The Wall Productions, Greg has directed THE DARE PROJECT, DARA FRAISER'S PASSING, as well as numerous staged readings. Future projects include WRAPPED (NYMF), and YOU'RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN with The Queens Players.

Industry Power Play produces a series of events, workshops, and classes for people in the arts and entertainment. It's goal is to create an atmosphere for professionals in theatre, film, music, dance, fashion, art (and everything in between) to come together.
