Hamm & Clov Stage Company will present a new production Irish Playwright Jimmy Kerr's exceedingly acclaimed and extremely hilarious Irish smash hit comedy "ARDNAGLASS ON THE AIR" as part of the third annual 1st Irish Festival.
 
Staged by award-winning Irish actress/director/author, Geraldine Hughes, "ARDNAGLASS ON THE AIR" will play from Monday, September 13th through Saturday, September 25th at Manhattan Theatre Source (177 MacDougal Street - between 8th Street & Waverly Place).
 
The comedy has previously enjoyed a sold-out Irish National Tour as part of the much-heralded Magners Big Tickle Comedy Festival.   The reviews were unqualified raves.
 
The American cast stars Mr. Kerr himself, Jo Kinsella and Jonathan Judge-Russo.

HAMM & CLOV STAGE COMPANY (named for two characters in Samuel Beckett's "Endgame") is a non-profit organization established in 1972 and incorporated in New York in 1973 for the development, production, and exchange of theatrical works by playwrights, musicians, dancers, and media artists from around the world.   Hamm & Clov was a charter member and served on the Board of Directors of OOBA, the Off-Off Broadway Alliance now known as A.R.T./New York.   The company produced in Manhattan at such venues as the Manhattan Theatre Club, Theatre at St. Clement's, and Classic Stage Company before establishing a home at the AMDA Theatre on Bleecker Street.   Invited to interNational Theatre festivals in Edinburgh and Berlin, the company toured Europe and appeared on the BBC and Berlin Television.  In New York, one of their actors was awarded an OBIE for his performance in the company's American premiere of a play by John Arden.   After a long hiatus the company returned to full-time operation in the fall of 2001 and has since then developed and produced eight new plays both in America and Ireland as well as yearly Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations and a short film, winner of the Viewers' Choice Award at the international FEMALE SHORTS FILM FESTIVAL in Alexandria, VA in June 2010.  The company also published its first children's book in 2010.
