After selling out multiple shows in the Women at Work Festival, Karen Sklaire, author and performer of Drama at the Point, has agreed to a four-night return to Stage Left Studio. She's offering her inside look at teaching in the NYC school system at 5 pm on Jan 19, 25, Feb 9 and 16, 2014.

This 60-minute comedy was written by Ms. Sklaire, in association with her director Cheryl King, and in just one hour she takes you on a journey you'll never forget.

Audiences will follow Ms. Sklaire through her journey through the challenging corridors of the New York City public school system- complete with rubber rooms, baby gangstas and dashed dreams. And when all seems lost, she finds the strength and courage to keep on going,through her connection with her students and her hope that she can make a difference--in any way she can.

Tickets to Drama at the Point are $23 in advance at www.stageleftstudio.net and $25 at the door.

Stage Left Studio is located at 214 W 30th Street, 6th floor, NYC between 7th and 8th Aves, convenient to all major transportation, A,C,E, 1, 2, 3, B, D, F, N, R, Q lines, and 1 block south of Penn Station.

Karen Sklaire is an actress, singer and comedienne who has toured the country with Theatreworks/USA and has been featured Off-Broadway at The Promenade Theatre, Town Hall, and The Soho Playhouse. She has performed standup comedy in clubs throughout NYC as well as touring with comedian Rob Bartlett and the Bartletts. Karen wrote and performed her first one-woman show, Bangin', in 2003 and Drama at the Point, both at The People's Improv Theater. Drama at the Point has been presented at The New Emerging Artist Festival and The One Festival, and has been featured in Selected Shorts at Stage Left Studio. Drama at the Point was developed with Peter Michael Marino and Cheryl King. Karen is a member of Actors Equity Association.

Cheryl King is a playwright, director and actor who created and manages Stage Left Studio in NYC. She was acting coach at ABC's All My Children, has directed over 35 productions, several award-winners, and produced Drama-Desk-nominated That Play in 2013.
