Concert Performances of VIA GALACTICA Set for March 23-25
By: James T Harding
Concert performances of a reimagining of VIA GALACTICA will run from March 23rd-March 25th at the Kraine Theatre (85 East 4th Street NY, NY 10003).
Reimagined from the 1970s musical written by Christopher Gore and Judith Ross comes VIA GALACTICA. Originally billed as a “musical from the future” – Via Galactica tells the story of Gabriele Finn, the son of an explorer who gets the itch for his own exploration. The story takes place in 2972 on an asteroid where Gabriele and his friends have gone to escape dystopian Earth. With music from Hair composer, Galt MacDermott, and a new book (with a 2012 twist) comes this revival of a 1970s diamond in the rough.
