Aedin Moloney, Robert Sella and Carole Shelley Lead WHAT EVERY WOMAN KNOWS Reading at Theatre Three Tonight
Noël and Company will present a staged reading of What Every Woman Knows by Scottish playwright J. M. Barrie at Theater Three tonight June 3rd at 7:00PM.
The reading will be the third installment in Noël and Company's festival honoring the work of theatre pioneer Eva Le Gallienne. Eva played the Comtesse on Broadway (1946/47). David Glenn Armstrong will direct. Anne Kaufman and artistic director Keith Merrill will produce the event. Erin Gilbreth will stage manage the reading.
Starring Aedin Moloney (Maggie Wylie), Robert Sella (John Shand), Carole Shelley (Comtesse de la Briere), Kevin Collins (David Wylie), Heidi Armbruster (Lady Sybil Lazenby), John Windsor-Cunningham (Alick Wylie/Charles Venables), and Alex Rice (James Wylie). Jane Pfitsch on violin.
The story of a self-made Scottish family that strikes a deal to wed their sister to a young up-and-coming politician who is initially more concerned with his career than any need for romance. Add to the mix a stuffy Comtesse, a superficial ingenue, some delicious treachery and you have J. M. Barrie's exquisite comedy of manners.
Tickets to What Every Woman Knows are $15 (Student/AEA) to $25 (General Admission) with no service fee when ordering online through www.noelandcompany.org (please do not contact Theater Three for tickets). Complimentary wine toast to Le G at interval. Theater Three is located at 311 West 43rd Street (3rd Floor) in Manhattan.
