Hurricane Irene may have frightened most theater venues into closing its doors this evening, but play-goers can still catch a showing of the fringe-favorite Channeling Kevin Spacey. The show will play tonight at the St. Luke's Theatre at 7 p.m.

As of noon today, Telecharge announced all Broadway and off-Broadway venues are closed for matinee and evening performances. Telecharge has now announced on its main site that "Channeling Kevin Spacey" is the only show on or off-Broadway that is playing today. See www.telecharge.com.

The announcement was made today by the show's Production Company, Wolf & William Productions.

In Channeling Kevin Spacey, a three-time Best of Fest winner at the Toronto, Edmonton and Winnipeg Fringe Festivals, we meet film buff Charlie, a meek pushover in a dead end job and a loveless relationship who shuffles through life like a Kevin Spacey character, breathlessly defeated. After a particularly soul-squashing day at work, Charlie has an epiphany and resolves to change his life by morphing into the real-life version of Al Pacino's most famous characters, resulting in a series of devastating and hilarious confrontations that makes Channeling Kevin Spacey a must-see for movie-lovers of all types.

Called "brilliant" by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and "A Must-See" by EYE Weekly, Channeling Kevin Spacey premiered at the Winnipeg Fringe Festival in July 2008, where it promptly sold out its run and garnered the prestigious Best of Fest award. Following its success in Winnipeg it played The Edmonton Fringe, the largest theater festival in North America, where it again won Best of Fest. Channeling Kevin Spacey won that same honor at the 2009 Toronto Fringe Festival and in 2010 the show was performed to rave reviews at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale.
