Ars Nova's ANT Fest Continues with ANIMALS, GAME NIGHT and More, Now thru 6/23

Ars Nova has released more information about its upcoming shows tonight, June 18 through June 23, all part of ANT Fest, the annual All New Talent Festival. Tickets and more information can be found online at www.arsnovanyc.com/antfest.

ANT FEST: Animals
June 18 @ 8pm, $10

This performance comes to you as part of ANT Fest, Ars Nova's month-long Festival of All New Talent!Rod Dirkwitz, recovering alcoholic and Senior Doggycare Supervisor at Petland, is on a desperate quest to film the greatest children’s educational television show Western Nebraska has ever seen. But his footage is scrambled, his script is a mess, and his ex-wife’s ghost won’t stop talking. A one-man multimedia implosion.

ANT FEST: Game Night

Part carnival, part choose-your-own-adventure, part game show, part wrestling match, this interactive theatrical event is so unique it defies description and must be experienced to be believed. You’ve never seen a glitter-covered game night like it.

ANT FEST: Showgasm
June 21 @ 10pm, $5

Dive head first into a late night incarnation of Ars Nova’s infamous neo-vaudeville show-meets-party where you’ll experience cutting-edge comedy, music, theater, burlesque and everything in between. Meet this year’s festival talent while enjoying the rowdiest variety show in town. Tickets are only $5 but if you see the 8 pm show that night (The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict), admission is free.

ANT FEST: An Innocent Evening of Drinking

Chameleon Lauren Blumenfeld portrays a bizarre array of philatelists, doll-fanciers, and other obsessives in this comedic look at collecting. Based on interviews with actual collectors, the show considers what drives them to collect. And what—if they could talk –their collections would say about them.
