SHOTZ! is a theatrical pressure cooker that every month pairs 6 groups of actors, writers, and directors together to create brand new 10-minute plays, and perform them the first Monday of the month at The Kraine Theater, 85 E. 4th St., NY. Unified by three common criteria, each collection of plays captures a variety of perspectives around the month's theme, and is the best, most consistent showcase of up-and-coming talent in NYC theater.
Founded in 2009, AMIOS is a collective of theater artists with a singular purpose: to build community through art. Now approaching its 8th year, SHOTZ! has produced over 500 short plays, 18 one-acts, and 7 full-length plays from over 100 contemporary playwrights.
UNICORNS AND GARBAGE FIRES is an evening of devised plays inspired by fantasy and extremes, and like the times we live in, full of joy, uncertainty, and surprise. It's a night where fantasy meets reality - over a beer.
