The ceremony was broadcast live on the 7-story-tall NASDAQ Tower looming over Times Square at Broadway & 43rd Street. iLUMINATE opened its new 2014 edition on January 27th to unanimous rave reviews, led by The New York Times which dubbed the hit show 'Spectacular, magical and dazzling!' iLuminate wowed the nation with their groundbreaking light suits and innovative dance moves on NBC's 'America's Got Talent,' where the dance-in-the-dark sensation was selected as one of the hit show's top finalists after judge Piers Morgan called them 'The Best New Act in America!'

Honorees were on hand to receive their awards and Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ruth Maleczech and Nicholas Martin were posthumously inducted into the Off Broadway Hall of Fame.

This one-night-only event will feature Grammy Award-winning 1920s and 30s musical interpreters Vince Giordano and The Nighthawks (HBO's 'Boardwalk Empire,' Woody Allen's Radio Days, and Martin Scorsese's The Aviator), as well as special guest stars including acclaimed soprano Amy Burton (The Metropolitan Opera, City Opera, Carnegie Hall), Tony Award nominee Anita Gillette (Chapter Two, They're Playing Our Song, Brighton Beach Memoirs), Jason Graae (Falsettos, A Grand Night for Singing), Ted Levy(Jelly's Last Jam, Black and Blue), Grammy-winning jazz and blues vocalistCatherine Russell (featured on soundtracks for HBO's 'Boardwalk Empire' and the film Kill Your Darlings), and two-time Tony nominee Tom Wopat (Catch Me If You Can, Annie Get Your Gun, Sondheim on Sondheim). Alexis Brown (Madison) is a former special assistant and events coordinator at the Mississippi Development Authority and state coordinator for the picnic since 1992 and she once again had a wonderful event planned out for New York City. Governor Phil Bryant and his wife Deborah were there to support the event.
