Just in time for Halloween, Prospect Theater Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Cara Reichel and Managing Director Melissa Huber, presents STAGE FRIGHT, a collection of macabre mini-musicals, the culminating production of Prospect's 2015 Annual Music Theater Lab, from October 25-31 at the West End Theatre at the Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew (263 West 86th Street).

From the horrific to the hilarious, the fourteen writers in this fall's musical theater lab conjure spirits, enchant victims, and bring the dead to life again on stage in this supernatural evening of eight original musical shorts. The writers in the Fall 2015 Music Theater Lab are Sam Chanse & Bob Kelly, Derek P. Hassler & Landon Braverman, Christine Toy Johnson & Bobby Cronin, Ariel Mitchell & Edison Hong, Joel B. New, Brooke Pierce & Masi Asare, Andy Roninson, and Sarah Ziegler & Nicky Phillips.

STAGE FRIGHT is directed by Dev Bondarin, and the evening features the talents of Leigh Ellen Caudill, Cindy Cheung, Danyel Fulton, Thomas Green, Ronald Roy Johnson Jr., Janice Landry, Jason Pintar, and David J. Wiens. Nicole S. Richards is the stage manager, and Maureen Monterubio is the Assistant Director. Darren R. Cohen is music director.

Prospect's annual Musical Theater Lab (established in 2008) is a developmental program which offers emerging writers a platform to connect, create, and workshop new material on a compact timeline. Eight writing teams are selected through an open application process, and pen short new works in response to a curated assignment. The resulting pieces are rehearsed, staged and presented to public audiences as a cohesive evening performed by a versatile ensemble of performers.

Performance dates and times are Sunday, October 25 at 7:30pm, Monday, October 26 at 7:30pm, Tuesday, October 27 at 8pm, Friday, October 30 at 8pm, and two performances on Halloween, Saturday, October 31 at 3pm & 8pm. Tickets are $18 online at www.ProspectTheater.org or 212-352-3101. Tickets will also be available at the door, if space is available. The box office opens one hour prior to curtain.
