FROM CORINNE’S HEART, a new musical written, produced, composed, and directed by Charles Mandracchia, played a sold-out performance Friday night at 54 Below. Check out a photo from behind the scenes.
Inspired by true events, the musical follows Corinne, who is diagnosed with Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis and struggles to accept her condition until she finds hope through her relationship with Tony. A special message was delivered during the evening by Tina Brown.
Music direction was by Mitch Marcus of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
The cast included Keith Crowningshield as Doctor Gerard, Olympia Eyal, Arielle Joy Hubbard as Corinne, Ken Jennings as The Miracle Man, Scott Fraser O'Brien as Tony, Jessi Shieman, Hannah Thompson as Anne, and Xavier Wilson.
A portion of the proceeds from the performance benefited the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
