PERFECT CRIME, NYC's longest running play, will have a performance tonight at 8 PM and tomorrow at 2 PM. Despite Hurricane Sandy's destruction in New York and beyond, producer's of Perfect Crime have decided to run the show tonight and continue their legacy. The play, a romantic thriller, often compared to Agatha Christie's Mousetrap, has run for 25 years in New York and will not let a hurricane stop their record-breaking run.

Executive Producer Armand Hyatt said, "We want to make sure people have something fun to do tonight. All of Broadway is closed and we want to provide tourists and New Yorkers, whom have been cooped up inside, some source of entertainment that truly showcases how New York City can persevere. Plus, the show is an entertaining whodunit and after this storm we all need a little something to laugh about."

The theater is offering a special "hurricane price" for tickets tonight and tomorrow's matinee, pricing them at $50.

Perfect Crime celebrated its 25th anniversary last year and plays 8 shows a week. Leading actress Catherine Russell is featured in the Guinness Book of World Records for her lengthy run in the show, having only missed four performances since 1987. When asked how she felt about performing after the hurricane, Russell joked, "It was not a perfect storm and it can't stop Perfect Crime".

The theater is offering tickets at a special hurricane discounted price of $50. Call the box office for more information 212-921-7862.

A secluded mansion. A would-be murderess. The perfect crime. Margaret Brent is an accomplished Connecticut psychiatrist-and potential cold-blooded killer. When her wealthy husband turns up dead, she gets caught in the middle of a terrifying game of cat and mouse with a deranged patient and the handsome but duplicitous investigator assigned to the case. Perfect Crime has played over 9,000 performances since opening on April 18, 1987. Perfect Crime recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. It has been featured in every major New York publication as well as in People magazine and on Entertainment Tonight and The Today Show.

Written by Warren Manzi and directed by Jeffrey Hyatt, the cast of Perfect Crime also includes Catherine Russell, who has starred in the show since its first performance, played all but four of its performances and has been inducted into The Guinness Book of World Records for this feat; John Hillner (Broadway's La Cage Aux Folles, Footloose, Mama Mia); and Richard Shoberg (24 years as Tom Cudahy on ABC's All My Children).

Perfect Crime plays at the Snapple Theater Center, 210 West 50th Street at Broadway. The box office phone number is (212) 921-7862. www.SnappleTheater.com.

The performance schedule is as follows: Mondays at 8PM, Tuesdays at 8PM, Wednesdays at 2PM, Fridays at 8PM, Saturdays at 2PM & 8PM and Sundays at 3PM & 7:30PM.
