Listen: MASQUERADE Star Francisco Javier González Performs 'No Kings' Anthem
The new single is featured in the forthcoming musical Spill the Tea!
Francisco Javier González, currently appearing as Raoul in the immersive Masquerade, has recorded a performance of the new anthem “No Kings,” written by Laurie Edwards and Will Raucci.
Blending pop, orchestral, and classic Broadway music styles, the song is designed as a modern protest anthem rooted in America's founding resistance to authoritarian power. It aims to highlight the rise of current cultural power, residing across government, big tech, corporations, and billionaires.
“No Kings” is featured in the forthcoming musical Spill the Tea!, a production by Edwards that was inspired by the first recorded act of women's activism in American history, and also marks the 250th anniversary of America's independence from England's monarchy.
The single is now available on all major streaming platforms, alongside an official music video and a nationwide video contest aimed at turning listeners into participants. In tandem with the release of the single and official music video, the team is launching the NO KINGS Video Contest, inviting creators across the country to produce original videos using the track for a chance to win $1,000 and make their voices heard.
Participants can download the track via LivSocial.com, create an original video inspired by the message of “NO KINGS,” upload their entry directly to LivSocial, and share and rally support. The winning video will be determined by the number of “Applauds” it receives on the platform, with the top entry crowned on July 4, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST.
