Beginning performances on May 30, is Into the Hazard [Henry 5], a new play adapted and directed byJessica Bauman. Adapted from William Shakespeare's "Henry V," this production will take placeSaturday, May 30 through Saturday, June 20. Official opening set for Thursday, June 4 @ 7:00 PM.

Into the Hazard [Henry 5] is a raw and riveting new adaptation of Shakespeare's politically charged,battle-filled history saga. Peppered with mock media footage, from Fox News to reality TV, this modernminimalist production exposes how television shapes our perceptions of war and heroism.

This just in:The fight for the French throne rages on as a young and underestimatEd English king rises to iconicstatus amidst threats to national security and a military assault designed to divert attention from issuesat home. Six actors portray over 20 different characters, on stage & screen, transporting the play'sscenes from the royal court to a series of backroom negotiations and private deals.

Into the Hazard[Henry 5] propels the Bard's 1599 epic into the media-obsessed world of 2009.Into the Hazard [Henry 5] features performances by Nick Dillenburg, David McCann, Erin Moon,Luis Moreno, Trevor Vaughn, Scott Whitehurst, and with video appearances by Kelly AuCoin,Chris Burn, Kevin Kelly and Samantha Soule.

Into the Hazard [Henry 5] also features Set and Lighting Design by Christopher Akerlind (TopGirls, 110 in the Shade, Talk Radio, Shining City, Awake and Sing, Well, Rabbit Hole, The Light in thePiazza, Seven Guitars), Sound Design by Jeremy Lee (Dance Dance Revolution, Song for New York,Mary Stuart, Talk Radio), Costume Design by Emily Pepper (FUBAR, Project Y, A Slight Headache,Summer Play Festival, The Scariest, Golden Boy, The Suicide), Video Design by Austin Swister withGeneral Management by Lisa Dozier and Casting by Judy Bowman.

Jessica Bauman (Creator/Director) has been working as a director in New York and regionally for morethan 15 years. Her work has been seen at theatres such as New Georges, New York Theatre Workshop, Soho Rep, the Public, Juilliard (including the world premiere of Fuddy Meers by David Lindsay-Abaire),Rising Phoenix Rep and the 52nd Street Project.

Regionally, she has worked at Portland Stage Company,Shakespeare Theatre of NJ, Theatre Outlet (Allentown, PA) and the O'Neill. She has collaborated withplaywrights such as David Lindsay-Abaire, Kia Corthron, Tracey Scott Wilson, Emily DeVoti, Jenny Lyn, Diana Son, Napoleon Ellsworth and Kirsten Greenidge.

She recently directed the premiere ofTerrence McNally's Teachers Lounge with Cynthia Nixon and Maura Tierney for the 24 Hour Plays onBroadway. She has been an Artist-in-Residence at Tribeca Performing Arts Center, a Drama LeagueDirectors Project fellow, an alumna of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab, a NYTW Usual Suspect and NewGeorges Affiliated Artist. Jessica was a finalist for the 2007-2009 TCG/NEA Career Development programfor Directors. She is a graduate of Yale College.
