The Line is a humorkonsept that freely and rudely pick elements and instruments from various dance expressions, then put them together in new, unforeseen ways. Their playful and surprising idiom is totally without inhibitions and filled with lots of love to dance.
The Line is operated by the dancers Kristina Søetorp and Ida Wigdel, both educated at the College of art in London in 2006. The company was previously known for the play "BEyond the Face," which has played at Dansens Hus Norway during spring and at ILTWT during the Julidansfestivalen in Amsterdam. Their first dance film "BEyond" has been touring short film festivals in the Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, China, South Africa, United States, Lebanon and Mexico.
In "Near. Father. "Wherever you are" we meet the 12 dancers and actors with an age range from 26 to 62 years. Among other things, we get to experience the actress Helen Vikstvedts unknown and great dance talent ...
