Eva Perón was working-class Saint, reviled by the aristocracy and mistrodd by the military. At the age of fifteen she fled from his poor village being to the capital Buenos Aires. Driven by ambition and blessed with charisma, she was a star candidate when she was 22, the President's mistress when she was 24, the Peróns first lady when she was 27 and died at the age of 33. Her fate left a fascinating and unique political heritage of the 20th century. century.
The story is compelling told in a musical that combines elements of pop and jazz with Latin rhythms and haunting songs. The musical Evita is as complex as the woman herself, and one of our time's greatest music theater works.
