It is claimed that all fear essentially comes from the fear of dying. What exactly are we afraid? Is it possible to lose a few and at the same time find themselves? Death can make life more clearly?

The idea for "down in the Moss with you, man!" came after Marianne Skjeldal lost his best friend after six years of illness. The adventures of her illness and death awakened a personal need to stop and stick my fingers in the soil, literally; the quest back to something original, something of a natural longing.

In the show include the personal experiences on in a negotiation between nature and culture. Dance, music, text and video merge in books and small stories. Transience in all treated humorous and serious, with existential under-and overtones.

-Browser we "inward", we see perhaps a correlation between our own and natural development, in which the world is great, but the wood shrinks. Our consciousness is about to shrink?

Marianne Skjeldal is performing dances and stage artist graduated from the school for contemporary dance in 2002. She has been involved in several different guest choreographers and directors, among others Karstein Solli. She produces her own shows at the intersection of dance/theatre and performance in collaboration with artists from different fields, and has a particular interest in the movement combined with text, voice and site-specific work. Skjeldal has also been developing installations for art festivals. The forerunner of "down in the Moss with you, man!" was shown as a site-specific project at Whale Beach baths.
