Both Bartók and Beethoven are masters at creating music in which form and structure contribute to the explosive emotional expression. This is music that speaks to the heart and brain.
the 17-year-old Charles holtsmark Ringstad is soloist in Bartóks bratsjkonsert. Charles was named the Eurovision Young Musician 2012 earlier this year when he won the European Broadcasting Union's soloist competition. Competition finals took place in the Town Hall Square in Vienna in front of over 40,000 tilskurere and millions of television viewers throughout Europe.
Beethoven's "fate Symphony" is as a bedrock of the classical symphonic tradition. It profoundly human message of victory through battle is perceived as relevant today as when Beethoven wrote Symphony in 1804-05. We are looking forward to an exciting and bold interpretation of our own Beethovenekspert, Rolf Gupta.
