Anne-Sophie Mutter was born in Rheinfelden in Baden, Germany. She started her international career as a soloist at the Lucerne Festival in 1976, and the following year made his debut in Salzburg during Pentecost concerts, led by Herbert von Karajan.
Since she has been one of the greatest violin Virtuosi of our time. Anne-Sophie Mutter has held concerts in all the major concert halls of Europe, the United States and in Asia. In addition to performing the great traditional pieces, she has constantly introduced his audience to new and exciting – Chamber musical repertoires as well as orchestral. She fronts also several charity projects and support the work of developing young and exceptional talents.
In 2012 was Anne-Spohie Nut awarded Doctor Honoris Causa Ntnu in Trondheim. In 2009 she received the European St Ulrich's Prize and Cristobal Gabaroon Award. The year before she received the international Ernst von Siemens Music Prize in addition to the Leipzig Mendelssohn prize. She is the holder of a Grand Order of Merit from the German State, the French Order of the Legion of Honor, the Hungarian Order of Merit, the Austrian Great Order of Merit, to name some of her awards.
