A tragicomedy about one of the worst battles in Norwegian history where 5,000 people lost their lives in the attempt to conquer England.
on 25 september the year 1066 is the day everything went to hell. And we have, as the only one in the world, the answer to why. The story revolving about the days before the battle, and we meet among others: a King, Harald III, characterized by heavy depressions. His son, Olav, who is struggling with a weight problem and a serious relationship with God. A skald Þjóðólfr,, who aspires to write a best seller in the world of illiterate and an expatriate English Earl, Tostig, who are struggling socially and has a substance abuse problem.
