SHREK THE MUSCAL will hit Norway this fall

SHREK THE MUSICAL will open at Lillestrøm kultursenter, just outside Oslo, October 11 2018.

Helmed by the director Håkon Thorstensen Nielsen and choreographer Kristine Grimsrud. It will star Christian Ranke (Shrek), Hanne Selmer-Olsen (Princess Fiona), Stine Tamlag (Donkey) and Hogne Vangen (Lord Farquaad). With an ensemble of nearly sixty performers, producer Lars Christian Wahlberg promises a grand production.

"Our theater once will again deliver you a big show, a spectacular musical comedy for the whole family, with a great, energetic cast." he says.

SHREK THE MUSICAL features a book and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize® winner, David Lindsay-Abaire (Rabbit Hole)and music by Olivier Award-winner Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie & Caroline, or Change). After a trial run in Seattle, the original Broadway production opened in December 2008 and closed after a run of over 12 months in January 2010. It was followed by a tour of the United States which opened in 2010, and a re-vamped West End production from June 2011 to February 2013. Shrek had its Norwegian premiere September 26 2017 in Sandefjord, produced by Sandefjord teaterforening, directed by Frode Aleksander Rismyhr.
