This award-winning film, directed by Ali Ray, takes audiences on a journey through the life of Frida Kahlo, uncovering the story of her rebellious, passionate, and turbulent life. The film features new additions from the blockbuster transatlantic exhibition Frida Kahlo: The Making of an Icon, presented at Tate Britain and MFA Houston. The event will be introduced by Karen E. Milbourne, J. Sanford Miller Family Director of The Fralin Museum of Art at UVA. The screening is part of a broader celebration of Kahlo's life, work, and legacy organized by The Paramount Theater, The Fralin Museum of Art at UVA, and the Virginia Theatre Festival.
