Virginia Stage Company to Present THE BOOK PLAY, 10/28-11/16
Virginia Stage Company (VSC) presents The Book Play as the second show of this season's ADVENTURE. The Book Club Play is an award winning play about a reality TV documentary about a Book Club.
VSC will present this fast-paced, quirky, laugh-out-loud new comedy, directed by Artistic Director Chris Hanna. Under the constant scrutiny of the documentary lens, chaos unravels onstage in hilarious and unexpected ways through this six person cast.
The Book Club Play will run from October 28st through November 16th 2014. The Public Dress Rehearsal Performance will be held on Sunday, October 26th. Preview Performances run Tuesday, October 28st at 7:00pm and Wednesday and Thursday, October 29th and 30th at 8:00pm. Tickets for Preview Performances are just $25. Opening Night will be Friday, October 31st at 8:00pm, directly followed by the Company's new after party series, VSC Uncorked! Regular performances will run Tuesdays at 7:00pm and Wednesdays-Saturdays at 8:00pm. Matinee performances will be offered on Saturday afternoons at 4:00pm and Sunday afternoons at 2:00pm.
We will hold post-show discussions on Sunday, November 2nd and November 9th after the 2:00pm matinee, where audience members will have the chance to participate in an open discussion with the director of the play. An ASL interpreted performance will be held on Saturday, November 8th at 8:00pm.
VSC also invites everyone to join us at the Wells Theater for our Director's Salon on October 28th at 5:30pm, for wine, discussion, and an insider's look at the show with Chris Hanna.
