Synetic to Host 450th Birthday Party for Shakespeare, 4/2
In March Synetic Theater will remount their original "silent Shakespeare" production, the multiple Helen Hayes Award-Winning Hamlet...the rest is silence. To celebrate the production and the 450th birthday of the playwright the show is based on, the company will throw Shakespeare a Birthday Bash on Wednesday, April 2!
The event will include tickets to Synetic Theater's award-winning "wordless Shakespeare" production Hamlet ...the rest is silence, an pre-show open bar with special craft cocktails and a visit from The Bard himself! The event begins Wendesday, April 2 at 7pm and the show begins at 8pm. Tickets start at $45 and can be purchased at www.synetictheater.org or by calling 866-811-4111.
A silent rendering of the iconic tale of a grief-stricken prince torn between duty, love, conscience and fear, this revitalized production will employ all the skills and techniques we have honed and developed over the past 10 years, and promises to be a renewed pleasure for those familiar with Synetic's work as well as a perfect introduction for newcomers. The production stars co-founder and resident chorographer Irina Tsikurishvili as Gertrude and company member Alex Mills as Hamlet.
Founded in 2001 by the husband and wife team of Paata and Irina Tsikurishvili, Synetic Theater is the region's premier contemporary theater, fusing dynamic art forms-drama, text, movement, acrobatics, dance, film, and original music-to create a unique and original whole. Synetic has received a total of 92 Helen Hayes Award nominations and 24 Awards for directing, choreography, acting, costume design, and resident play.
