Silly Bus Holiday Extravaganza Comes to CenterStage

By: Nov. 11, 2011

Richmond CenterStage is excited to announce its partnership with Virginia-based award-winning children's musical performers Silly Bus for a special event just in time for the upcoming holiday season. The "Silly Bus Holiday Extravaganza" will be held at Richmond CenterStage's Gottwald Playhouse on Wednesday, December 7 at 7:00 p.m.

"CenterStage is a great place for families to participate in the performing arts, whether it's our innovative BrightLights Education programs or our diverse programming," said Richard M. Parison, Jr., Executive Director of Richmond CenterStage. "We're thrilled to present Richmond talents like the members of Silly Bus. We look forward to introducing families from across Central Virginia to the music of Silly Bus!"

The Silly Bus' stop at CenterStage will truly be a night filled with song and cheer. The Holiday Extravaganza blends holiday and children's song classics with other Silly Bus fan favorites. The Silly Bus Holiday Extravaganza is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit with the entire family.

Mr. John, a performer from Silly Bus said, "Silly Bus is thrilled to partner with CenterStage and our sponsors to help kickoff the holiday season. There's no better way to get in the spirit than through family fun and sing-alongs in the beautiful Gottwald Playhouse!"

Tickets for each show are only $8 for children and $15 for adults, and are now available at the CenterStage Box Office, through E-Tix at 1-800-514-ETIX (3849), at www.richmondcenterstage.com or at www.etix.com.

About Silly Bus: Established in 2005, Silly Bus is an educational media company founded to teach and entertain pre-school and elementary aged children. With songs like "History Hip Hop" and "Watch Me, I Can Do This!" the group's goal is to help children feel confident and happy while learning subjects like math, science, fitness and green living. A two-time Mom's Choice Award winner, Silly Bus' radio-friendly music is catchy, educational pop that teachers can use in the classroom as successfully as parents can play in the car. In addition to recording its own albums and videos, Silly Bus works closely with corporations and non-profits on one-of-a-kind, family-friendly multi-media projects.
