Signature Theatre, currently producing Chess, the legendary rock musical of love and espionage, is holding a Cold War themed scavenger hunt in association with the International Spy Museum and promotional partner PostPoints on Saturday, August 28 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm throughout Washington, DC. The event will occur rain or shine.

In a battle of wit and speed, teams must decipher clues along the way, rendezvous with contacts and access special code words in a race against time to the finish line. Contestants can participate on foot and by public transportation.

The grand prize for the winning team is four tickets to a performance of Chess, four Chess t-shirts, a Chess CD, a signed Chess poster, an International Spy Museum family four pack and goody bag, a $100 gift certificate to the restaurant Ping in Shirlington, and a night at the Hilton Garden Inn. If the Grand Prize winning team is a member of PostPoints, the members will also receive a backstage tour and meet the cast of Chess. The second and third place teams will each receive two tickets to Chess.

Every participant will win a 20% discount to Signature Theatre's production of Chess running now through September 26, as well as $2 off the permanent exhibit at the International Spy Museum. PostPoints members will receive a special 35% discount and double points at Signature. PostPoints members must mention that they are a PostPoints member when registering to get the 35% discount and be eligible for the backstage tour and the meet-the-cast event.

Participating teams must include up to four people (at least one of whom must be 18 years or older). To register, teams must email checkmate@signature-theatre.org<mailto:checkmate@signature-theatre.org> by Friday, August 27 at 5:00 pm and include the team name, individual team members' names, email addresses and telephone numbers.
