Plan Announced to Market Danville as a Christmas Destination

Plan Announced to Market Danville as a Christmas Destination Image Wayne Alan, owner of the Historic North Theatre in Danville, VA announces a promotional plan for marketing Danville as a Christmas Destination. He hopes to make Danville the Christmas Capital of Virginia. He says, "Danville is a holiday destination with scenic charm, local history, a strong sense of community and fast ties to family heritage.

This small friendly city will help you rekindle the yuletide spirit of your youth. Plan your visit now and take in one of the Magic of Christmas Shows at the Historic North Theatre plus other holiday events, and so much more." He will be promoting to tour bus companies in a tristate region as well as to tourists and day-trippers within a two-hour drive from Danville.

The Historic North Theatre also announced show dates of December 8, 12, 15, 22 and 29 for the NEW 2018 Edition of the Magic of Christmas Illusion Show. This live show stars Celebrity Magician and World Champion Illusionist Wayne Alan. It is an exciting yet heartwarming magic and illusion show themed around Christmas full of family fun with not only amazing magic but also great music, including many of your favorite sacred and secular holiday songs.

This year's show will have a new feature, the region's only Living Christmas Tree featuring local singers "live on stage". This wonderful show is becoming the newest Christmas tradition in the region while also receiving national recognition. It is inspired by the famous Christmas show at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Christianity, the real meaning of Christmas, is woven throughout the show which closes with a dramatic and moving living nativity on stage.

Mr. Alan owns the web domains ChristmasInDanville.com and TourDanville.com. He plans to develop them as websites to promote his theatre shows as well the many other holiday related events in Danville that include: The Virginia Christmas Museum at The Historic North Theatre, the world famous Chrismons at Ascension Lutheran Church, 2018 Community Holiday Light Show at Ballou Park, Decorating the Trees for a Cause at The Institute for Advanced Learning, the Danville Historical Society 2018 Holiday Tour featuring historic homes and buildings, and of course the 2018 Christmas Parade-this year's parade will have the theme-12 Days of Christmas.

Plus, since Danville is known as the City of Churches, Mr. Alan is putting together a tour of churches that have Nativity stained glass windows. Some of these include Moseley Memorial United Methodist Church, The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Christ Episcopal Church
