Little Theatre of Norfolk to Present 9 TO 5, Begin. 9/6

By:

Little Theatre of Norfolk, one of the countries "oldest continuously running" community theatres in the nation presents a Hampton Roads Premiere of 9 to 5 from Sept. 6-29. Two years ago after this 86 year old theatre serving a community (largely of Military Families) ventured on a new quest after it's 250,000 face lift. Beginning last year with The Full Monty and then Avenue Q this season opens with 9 to 5 and followed shortly there after with Next to Normal

Based on the 1980 hit movie Nine to Five: pushed to the boiling point by their boss, three female co-workers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call a boss. They conspire to take control of the company and learn there is nothing they can't do - even in a man world.

The cast consists of Misy Sullivan as VIOLET NEWSTEAD, Jessica McClanahan as DORALEE RHODES, Kathy Hinson as JUDY BERNLY, and James Bryan as FRANKLIN HART, JR. The rest of the cast is performed by Shawna Lawhorn, James Swindell, Jeffrey Parsons, Thomas Harmon, Laura Oliver, Elizabeth Jay Terrell, Rob Fortner, Robin Martineau, Meg Murray, Bill Armstrong, Courtney Reynolds, Nichole Andrewes, and CheRae Chaney.

The 9 to 5 artistic staff is comprised of Brandon Monahan: Director, Anne Linja: Music Director and Karen Buchheim: Choreographer.
