Ball in the House Performs at The Alden Tonight

By: Dec. 15, 2012

The Alden Theatre in McLean welcomes Boston-based a cappella group, Ball in the House (www.ballinthehouse.com), for one performance tonight, Dec. 15, at 8 p.m. The event is part of the Alden's, "Live @ The Alden" series, which is geared to young adults. Tickets are $20, $15 for McLean Community Center district residents. The theatre is located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue.

Following in the path of classic harmony groups like Boyz II Men, The Temptations and Take 6, Ball in the House sings a rousing mix of classics and contemporary hits, blending a wide range of influences, from classic R&B to pop, hip-hop and gospel. Band members Ryan Chappelle, Jon J. Ryan, Dave Guisti, Patrick McCarthy, Nels Urtel and Suranjan Sen have an extensive touring schedule of more than 200 dates a year, making Ball in the House arguably one of the hardest working, most successful Indie bands today. The group has performed with The Beach Boys, Gladys Knight, The Jonas Brothers, Jessica Simpson, Smokey Robinson, KC & The Sunshine Band and Kool & the Gang, among others. "Ball in the House has everything you would expect to find in a successful pop/rock band....the one thing it doesn't have is instruments."---The Boston Globe.
