Alden's Musical Theatre Workshop Hosts 2 Performances Of WEST SIDE STORY 7/15, 7/16
The Alden Theatre's 2009 Musical Theatre Workshop will culminate in two performances of Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story. Directed by Meg Baber, the production will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, and at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, in the Alden Theatre.
This workshop, which began June 22, trains young performers in voice, dance and acting. A cast of more than 30 local young actors will perform, notably Langley High students Paul Goldberg (in the role of Tony), Haley Mueller (in the role of Maria) and Amy Welch (in role of Anita). "This cast of 40 local teens are putting their hearts and souls into creating a great show here at the Alden," said Alden Theatre Director of Youth Programs, Kathleen Herr.
