ABOUT THE SHOW:
What would you do if you had all eternity? Eleven-year-old Winnie Foster yearns for a life of adventure beyond her white picket fence, but not until she becomes unexpectedly entwined with the Tuck Family does she get more than she could have imagined. When Winnie learns of the magic behind the Tuck’s unending youth, she must fight to protect their secret from those who would do anything for a chance at eternal life. As her adventure unfolds, Winnie faces an extraordinary choice: return to her life, or continue with the Tucks on their infinite journey.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS/BREAKDOWN:

Winnie Foster
Female Presenting Age: 11 Vocal Range: A3-E5
The heart of our story– a girl growing up in a strict and grief-stricken household, she longs to discover the world beyond her own backyard and ends up going on the adventure of a lifetime when she meets Jesse and the rest of the Tuck family. Full of excitement, spunk, and wonder, we see grow in understanding of life throughout.

Jesse Tuck
Male Presenting Age: 17 Vocal range: F3-C5
The youngest and most optimistic of the Tuck family, looking for both adventure and fulfillment. Youthful in spirit, fun-loving but also a bit lonely, he is looking for a partner in crime.

Angus Tuck
Male Presenting Age: 40s Vocal range: E3-B4
The patriarch of the Tuck family, married to Mae. Very much in love with his wife, wise as a reflection of his time on this earth but with eccentricities. A teacher of life’s lessons, with surprising depth.

Mae Tuck
Female Presenting Age: 40s Vocal range: A3-E5
The matriarch of the Tuck family, married to Angus. Her existence is defined by the love of all her boys and is fiercely protective of her family and those important to them. She is warm, kind, with emotional depths.

Miles Tuck
Male Presenting Age: 20-25 Vocal range: F3-C5
Oldest son of the Tuck family, and in some ways the most mature character. He is a survivor but with soul-deep suffering, who loves deeply but fears showing it. He can present as angry but it masks a caring and battered heart.

The Man in the Yellow Suit
Male Presenting Age: 40+, Vocal range: G3-B4
The show’s antagonist, looking for the Fountain of Youth. Discontent with his current situation and greedy for what he perceives as the ticket to everything, willing to be ruthless in his pursuit. He has the manner of a showman, with a sinister undertone.

Constable Joe
Male Presenting Age: 40+, Vocal range: F3-B4
The town’s law enforcement, and Hugo’s mentor. He is a man of good intentions, who relies on instinct over logic at times, and is often accidentally funny. Has good instincts even if he doesn’t always know it.

Hugo
Male Presenting Age: 12-15 Vocal range: G3-C5
A self-starter who assists Joe with the very few investigations that arise in Treegap. An eager, questionably competent, young investigator. He has a good heart and accidental charm, with great potential.

Winnie’s Mother
Female Presenting Age: 30s-early 40s, vocal range: A3-E5
Winnie’s protective mother. She has recently lost her husband and thus her world is centered on the safety of her daughter, trying to be externally strong overlying a softness and grief.

Winnie’s Grandmother
Female Presenting Age: 50+, vocal range: A3-C#5
Winnie’s grandmother who lives with her and her mom. She is spunky and charming, with a strong zest for life.

Storyteller Ensemble
Various Ages, Strong singers and movers of all types.
The ensemble plays multiple roles including the citizens of Treegap, travelers, spirits, Carnival performers, and storytellers throughout, and will be heavily featured in demonstrating the possibilities of life. We are specifically looking for an age-diverse ensemble to help shape Winnie’s understanding of life.
