A musical with a hysterical book co-written by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan and music and lyrics by Mr. Brooks: A scheming producer and his mousy accountant aim to produce the biggest flop on Broadway in this laugh-out-loud spectacle. The Producers skewers Broadway traditions and takes no prisoners as it proudly proclaims itself an “equal opportunity offender”! A truly “boffo” hit, winning a record twelve Tony Awards, The Producers sets the standard for modern, outrageous, in-your-face humor.
Casting 5 men and 1 woman. Ensemble of 8 men and 8 women.
Auditioners, you should prepare a 32 bar musical theater piece that shows your range. Bring your own sheet music an accompanist will be provided.
