THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST - Upstart Arts
UPSTART ARTS
140 N. Beaver St.
York, PA
Auditions 1/16/2019 & 1/17/2019
To sum up: The Importance Of Being Earnest is a comically serious look into the colliding dreams and hopes of two men who want to be Ernest Worthing, two women who want to marry Ernest Worthing, at least one Bunbury, two butlers, an Aunt (definitely a capital A kind of Aunt), a governess, a lost manuscript, and a compliant Canon. By the evening's end, the audience will have learned the horrors public transportation can wreak on the landed class and how soothing a muffin can be.
We are looking for nine people SERIOUS ?(_?)? about comedy (really, this is the only requirement. Age, height, weight, gender, hair color, skin color \_(?)_/), a band, and some stage managers who want to help with the behind the scenes fun.
