Whimsical, poignant, and romantic, The Fantasticks is an allegorical story that focuses on two young lovers, their meddling fathers, and the journey we all must take through adolescent thrills, the growing pains of hurt and betrayal, the highs of passion, the challenges of distance, and the agonies of heartbreak to discover how to truly love.

Auditions: September 3, 2022 at 3pm

Anyone auditioning for “The Fantastics” will need to have 16 bars of a song prepared for the audition.

Characters:

The boy—Matt – teens to twenties

The Girl – Luisa – teens to twenties

El Gallo- narrator and adventurer -age flexible

Bell – father of Luisa 50’s – 60’s **See note below

Huck – father of Matt – 50’s – 60’s **See note below

Henry – the abductor/actor – older – age flexible

Mortimer- Henry’s assistant – age flexible

The Mute – a non speaking , but important role – age flexible.

NOTE: Women can be considered for the rules of Bell and Huck.
