The Naples Players Hosting Auditions Aug. 1 For Come From Away
The Naples Players (TNP) will host open auditions for the fall production of the Tony Award-winning Come From Away, from 12 – 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 1. With a variety of roles available in this musical, actors of all experience levels and a wide range of ages are encouraged to audition.
Auditions will take place at The Naples Players, 701 Fifth Avenue South in Naples. Walk-ins are welcome; however, advance online registration is strongly encouraged. For information about the productions, available roles, audition materials, and registration, visit NaplesPlayers.org or call 239.263.7990.
Please plan to be there for 1.5-2 hours. The audition process is time-consuming and we will do our best to stay on schedule.
For auditions, we ask you to sing 32 bars (about a minute's worth) of a song from a contemporary musical or the Broadway Golden Age. A pianist will be available, and we encourage sheet music, but you are welcome to have a non-vocal backing track. There will be a speaker and an aux cord in the room to use. The singing audition will take about 30 minutes per group.
Once you are done singing, you will head upstairs to the 3rd Floor for the dance audition. We suggest you bring dance shoes (jazz, character, tennis shoes) and a change of clothes if you want. The dance audition will take about 40 minutes. You will perform in pairs in front of the directors at the end of the 40 minutes.
Callbacks will be announced Saturday evening around 8:00p via email only. If you are called back, you will be asked to read and sing the sides found pn;ome.
