The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas Auditions Audition Dates: • Monday, April 27 from 7:30-9:30 pm and Tuesday, April 28 from 7:30-9:30 pm • CALLBACKS (as necessary and by invitation only): Wednesday, April 29 Performance Dates: July 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25 at 8:00 pm July 19, 26 at 2:00 pm Audition Location: Meadow Hall Elementary School 951 Twinbrook Pkwy, Rockville, MD 20851 Audition Procedures: Appointments are not required. Please be prepared to complete a conflict calendar for May, June, and July. Choreography will be taught; please dress accordingly. Prepare 32 bars from musical theater or cabaret, OR a country-western classic — no pop songs, please — to best show off your vocal range and acting abilities. (Alternatively, you can prepare 16 bars in two of the above genres.) Actresses auditioning for Jewel may prepare an r&b or gospel number. Bring your own sheet music; accompanists will be provided. You may bring a resume and headshot, but your photo will be taken. All roles are open and unpaid; there is no pre-casting. EVERYONE will be notified regardless of casting. Due to the show’s adult content, we require actors to be at least 16 years of age at the time of the production. For those younger than 18, parental consent will also be required.
