Local Auditions --LaComedia Dinner Theatre in Springboro, Ohio, is holding an open call audition for its upcoming production of Scrooge: The Musical on Saturday, August 30th, at 765 W. Central Ave. Springboro, Ohio.

Ebenezer Scrooge: A stingy man who cares for nobody but himself. After being visited by 3 spirits, he realizes the error of his ways and rights his wrongs.50-70, Baritone/Range F2-G4
Bob Cratchit: Scrooge’s clerk, always positive despite having to care for a large family on a small salary. Timid, compassionate, loving. Mid 20’s-40, Baritone/Tenor/Range A2-F4
Harry (Scrooge’s Nephew)/Young Scrooge: Harry is a kind and friendly man who loves the holidays. Young Scrooge is a handsome version of Scrooge. He dreams of a life with Belle once he becomes rich.20’s, Baritone/Tenor/Range G2-F4
Mr. Fezziwig: A jolly socialite who knows how to throw a party and make people happy.40-60, Baritone/Range F2-D4
Tom Jenkins: Townsperson who leads several of the large ensemble numbers.20’s-40, Baritone/Tenor/Range A2-F4
Ghost of Christmas Present: Jovial man. He loves life and sarcasm.40-60, Bass/Range D3-Eb4
Jacob Marley: Scrooge’s former partner, tortured for eternity in the after-life for his previous miserly behavior.50-70, Baritone/Range F#2-F4
Helen/Isabel: Helen is Harry’s kind wife, but doesn’t like Scrooge’s harshness to him. Isabel is Scrooge’s young love, sweet, leaves Scrooge due to his greediness.20’s, Soprano/Range Bb3-A5
Mrs. Cratchit: A loving person, but looks down upon Scrooge’s treatment of her husband. Mid 20’s-40, Range C3-E5
Ghost of Christmas Past: Mysterious but with a warmth and kindness about her.20-30, Mezzo/Range D3-Eb4
Mrs. Fezziwig: A jovial woman who loves to be the life of the party.40-60, Bb3-E5
Ensemble men and women to play many small roles as well as understudy the principal roles. All ages, must be comfortable with movement/choreography for production number scenes.
We will also be seeking children (male and female) to be double cast as the Cratchit children, and children in the town. Ages 7-17 Must be comfortable with movement/choreography for production number scenes.
Rehearsals: Oct. 13 – Oct. 25 (Mon-Sat 9 am-6pm). Tech: Oct. 28-31.
Performances: Nov. 1 – Dec. 28, Wed-Sun. Rehearsal and performance conflicts will not be accepted. Adult performers are paid biweekly. Meal each performance, gym membership, workman's comp provided. If you have questions, or for more information email artisticdirector@lacomedia.com Non-Equity.
Please prepare 16 bars of a Christmas song, an accompanist will be provided…please no accapella singing. You may be asked to do a movement call or read from the script. Although it is highly beneficial to attend the in-person audition, if you are unable to be present, you may send resume, headshot, 16 bars of a Christmas song, and dance reel before that day to submissions@lacomedia.com.
